Building Skills

So, I've decided that it's time to have a commitment to myself.  Something that I want to do, not that I have to do.  But at the same time I need a little accountability too.  I've thought about joining in on a quilt-a-long or a sew-a-long for a bag or dress, but it never seemed like the right time (not that now is the right time!) But yesterday I stumbled across Sewn by Leila and she's having a Skill Builder quilt-a-long where for twelve months the participants work on a different quilting/sewing technique/skill each month.  After thinking about I decided that I was going to give it a try.  I'm also going to try to keep a chronicle of my sewing exploits here, because hopefully, since the machine's out, I'll be getting more done than the quilt blocks!
Anyone want to join me on this adventure? Of course living vicariously and sending me lots of encouragement is fine too.  :)
